I am passionate about helping others in any way I can, especially in accounting, taxation, and real estate.

My first foray into accounting and taxation began at San Diego State University. It wasn’t long before I was tutoring my fellow Aztec accounting students that I knew I was destined to become a CPA. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to spend an additional year at SDSU to pursue my Master’s in Accountancy with an emphasis on taxation.

While working towards my Master's, I spent most of my free time interning with various accounting firms throughout San Diego and studying for my CPA exams. Along the way, I met several great mentors who helped develop me professionally and expand my tax knowledge. I was fortunate to start my career with a large public accounting firm and continue developing the skills to assist individuals and businesses of all sizes. Over time, I realized I was particularly interested in real estate.

I began working with individuals and businesses that had large real estate holdings. The tax code, in general, is very favorable to the real estate industry, making it a particularly interesting industry to specialize in. I oversaw a variety of transactional and tax compliance work. As my interest grew, my desire to replicate the success I witnessed led me to pursue my own real estate deals. With my initial success, my entrepreneurial spirit was kindled. I spent another few years working for a public accounting firm before ultimately making the decision to start Sperry Tax Services and share my knowledge with you.
